Paediatric Endocrinology

The focus of our medical work is on diagnostics and therapy for endocrinological disorders in childhood and adolescence. This includes for example growth disorders, bone diseases, adipositas, eating disorders, disorders of puberty, absence of or irregular periods, hirsutism, sexual identity disorders (trans sexuality), genital deformities, diseases of the pituitary gland, thyroid gland, adrenal gland, metabolic diseases, diabetes mellitus or genetic syndromes (Prader-Willi syndrome, Ullrich-Turner syndrome).

Integrated specialist care

We work closely with resident consultants for paediatric and adolescent medicine, who inform us on suspicion of hormonal related diseases in their patients and refer them as necessary for further treatment.

In the area of diagnostics we cooperate with the departments Laboratory Medicine and Medical Genetics at MVZ Dr. Eberhard & Partner Dortmund.

When treating adolescents during the transition into adulthood we work hand in hand with the Centre for Endocrinology, Diabetology, Rheumatology Dr. Demtröder & Colleagues.
